With the signing of three resolutions that were published this Friday in the Official Gazette, the government made official the granting of routes to three low cost airlines. As President Mauricio Macri announced earlier this year, the companies that will be able to operate in Argentina for the next 15 years are American Jet, Andes and Alas del Sur, while requests placed by Avianca and Fly Bondi did not prosper......

Sorry about FlyBondi may be approved in the future. ?? Avianca though was controversial because if the Macri issue.

New airline Level enters the fray as well, to BA no less.

Nowegian Air Shuttle will begin domestic Argentine flights towards the end of 2017.

I'm excited to see competition in the Argentine market. Transatlantic in particular. It's under $500 in from US gateways for major airlines thanks in part to the Norwegian, WOW, Condor, Thomas Cook etc. Even summer fares have been as low as $500.

More choice and competition is a good thing.

Though with airlines, I kinda wish they'd keep the fairs the same and make the flight more comfortable. I really don't know how tall people survive a transcontinental flight in coach these days.

By thinking they are leaving and arriving at the same time as those flying business for half the price. :D

The truth about aircraft seat prices. Economy class means a tiny profit for airlines.....
