Just landed in BsAs today. Brrrr... Why is it so cold?

Anyone have advice on where to exchange dollars for pesos at a good rate? Banks?

I'm in the Palermo Soho area if anyone would like to meet up for drinks/food... I'm a 30-something professional female in town for 6 weeks...

Looking to plan a side trip to Patagonia somewhere in there.

Hope to meet some English and/or French speakers... I'm afraid my Spanish skills are useless. ;(

To exchange dollars, if you come by the centro, go to calle Sarmiento : dozens of casas de cambio there and best rates in town.

Nearby Alto Palermo, in a tiny street almost facing the entrance of thhis shopping mall on avenida de Santa Fe, there is too another casa de cambio with quite good rates
