Hi everyone,

I just arrived 4 days ago and found this site just last night. (Too bad I didn't know about this earlier, or else I would have been more prepared coming.)

I'm here for 3 months, partly for work (I'm researching about economic conditions and the general business environment) but also for learning the language.

So far my experience has been favorable. All the people I encountered at the post office, Movistar stores, etc. have been quite helpful despite my pathetic effort in speaking the language. (I spent some time in Spain, Barcelona specifically, so my Spanish isn't that good, plus the accent is quite different.)

Anyways, I'm hoping to really get to know the city (in a good way of course) and know more about the culture and society. I'll probably be using this site quite a bit to ask for recommendations/opinions.

Maybe you can use a chaperon, I am a native argentinian but lived in MI all my life, now I fly back and forth from FL.
