I recently reported, without any further comment, that on 31 January 2018 I purchased a 4 pack of Activa (yum yum) yogurt at my local Disco market. The price was $76.99. On 8 March the price for the same stuff was $85.50. Yesterday, the price was $89.25..
Hey, Disco, why not raise the price to $100. and keeping it at the price for 6 weeks/. I dare ya.

If food companies like Unilever, PepsiCo or Nestle increase their prices too quickly in Europe, the supermarkets stop selling their products until the prices are lowered again. This keeps inflation down. Not so in Argentina...

Top quality Greek yogurt (much larger than in Argentina) sells for $1 or sometimes 85 cents in the US.

Supermarkets increase prices if the dollar goes up. They also do it when they have offers and promos ( the mark prices up to then apply a discount ). It is most likely due to dollar fluctuation though.
