We are all well aware of the prices spiraling out of control here and on top of that the lack of selection. I have found a store here in the center of Buenos Aires that has a great selection of items AND EXCELLENT LOW PRICES!
It's called "Bombonería Royal". It's a big candy store located at Lavalle 951. It's on the pedestrian mall right before Lavalle ends at Carlos Pellegrini / 9 de Julio. The main items they sell are candy however they have a good selection of wines, canned goods like sardines, tuna, preserves, spices (in bulk), teas, gift items and like I said you won't believe the low prices and the quality I have found to be very good. It's a large store, about as big as a supermercado chino and I've found out it's been there for 100 years.
