stay here, no doubt - especially in the summer, amazing backyard and pool, meant to stay 3 days ended up staying 10. great location too, and lovely argentine part-owner hangs out by the pool on occasion :)

valparaiso:
Hostal Casa Valparaiso
old, cramped, but cozy, great location, and oh my god the view from some of the rooms is spectacular

playa ritoque, chile - near valparaiso (on the beach, beauuutiful, tricky to get to (need to take a public bus - call them, very helpful german girl who owns it)
