How are foreign pensions taxed?

Good Morning,

I am considering moving to Argentina on a pension visa this year and have already met with an immigration lawyer to understand the visa requirements. However, I've found conflicting information online regarding how my pensions and income would be taxed in Argentina. Can anyone recommend a tax advisor familiar with expat taxation who could clarify this for me?

- How are foreign pensions taxed? I have a US military pension that I will be transferring to an Argentine bank to qualify for my visa. Some sources say pensions aren’t taxed in Argentina, while others suggest they are.

- I also have a separate disability pension, which is tax-exempt in the US. Would this be exempt in Argentina as well? I don’t plan to transfer this money to Argentina, and it’s not reported as income on my US tax returns. Would AFIP still be interested in it?

- I’m also a bit confused about the minimum tax threshold (umbral mínimo no imponible). Am I correct that the first 2.3 million pesos of income is tax-exempt? I am concerned about taxation of my non-pension income. I have a remote US job that I intend to keep for a few more years.

Thanks for any info you can provide!
