Often, you can find the seller through mercado libre, and buy the item directly, avoiding mercado libre. If you want or have to pay through mercado libre, instead of paying with a credit card, you can print a coupon of rapipago or ( I dont remember the name rightnow), go to a shop that takes the money, and gives you a receipt of your payment with a code to inform that you paid.

Parana, between Alvear and Tucuman, is the camping supply neighborhood, with a bunch of stores. I dont know for sure, but my guess is you could get one there.

The name of the store on Parana street is Montagne outlet store. There is another "camping" store on Parana, on the other side of the sidewalk, one or two blocks away.

The problem is they wanted 5,500 pesos for the Leatherman Wave. In the US, it sells for under USD $100. I haven't checked out the area around Parana & Tucuman yet.

You can get them at the Alto Palermo Shopping Center. Top floor in the store that sells camera and other supplies on the Av. Santa Fe end of the mall. Also sold at the gun and knife shop Navarro at the west end of the Carranza tunnel in Colegiales.

The price is higher than in the USA, but after all, it is imported.
