I find these comments highly unfair as any intelligent well read person knows that the political system is rigged as to not give people real choices , What choice to people have in Argentina on one side a savage capitalist that is destroying the middle class or a radical left wing loony that wants to turn Argentina into Venezuela .
Argentinian people are trapped between two devils and what do you do but just leave and this is the choice that many are now taking .

It is Macri who is turning Argentina into Venezuela. Venezuela has oil and no industry, Mamcri is destroying the industry.

Last time CFK was going to win, the dollar was between 4 and 4.50 pesos.
When her mandate ended the dollar was at 15 and had been there for about a year.
So people predicted a 400% increase and it went up by "only" 300%. The bears overshot by 25%.
That's assuming anyone actually said that in the first place, which is also dubious.

It is Macri who is turning Argentina into Venezuela. Venezuela has oil and no industry, Mamcri is destroying the industry.

The ability to spout this with a straight face is astounding.
Macri is no one's idea of a capable leader, but still worlds ahead of CFK. My favourite quote to this day:

Really. Just say the words. Guillermo Moreno. Anibal. Echegaray. Capitanich. Kicilloff. Is it just me having flashbacks?
Never mind Lazaro Baez; Cristobal Lopez, aka U$S 9M interring itself in convents; the videos of the millions in cash, aka "En una financiera lo que se hace es contar guita"; "No hay cepo cambiario"; INDEC; the daughter of the defense minister, a year out of college, getting on the board of the national bank; Recalde running Aerolineas into the ground; etc.

To be clear - many did better personally amidst the chaos of the previous administration, myself included. Many if not most of those who voted for Macri did so knowing they'd be taking a hit personally, and but were ready to accept some short-term pain on the road back to rebuilding the economy. The problem is that the pain materialized but the fixing did not.
But compared to CFK?! Good grief.

Right. Argentines are victims. There were no superior solutions 20 years ago. No superior solutions 10 years ago. And there are no superior solutions now. Nor will there be superior solutions in the future. Their miserable fate is already cast.
