If Cristina Is Elected in October the Dollar Goes to $60 ..!

It is Macri who is turning Argentina into Venezuela. Venezuela has oil and no industry, Mamcri is destroying the industry.

would like to know how you think he's destroying the O&G industry here.

The problem is rooted in human nature. Everyone wants things to be fixed quickly - recovery from bad decisions made years ago can take time. But nobody wants to wait that long. So Macri has great ideas, starts down a good path - and when the pain starts (as it needed to - you had to pay somehow for 12 years of socialist policies), people get upset. So Macri shifts gears to “gradualism” - which only made things worse! Argentina is a great country - I love it. But it has to recognize that (a) fixing a broken economic system and paying for years of overspending cannot (or at least, is unlikely to) happen in a 4 year term, and (b) saddling your children and grandchildren with debt is a poor solution.

The last lot were certainly not social-democrats, or socialists as you put it. They were a faux left wing mafia cleptocracy with an ideology strongly centred around acquiring and distributing power within their group of close allies. In that sense they are similar to the faux conservative macri who is really a neo liberal shill for a different group of corrupt and entrenched power interests.

Moving to a floating exchange rate - although there are IMF 'bands' it is way better than the previous system. Investments in utilities - light, gas etc are 10X more stable in my experience compared to the K years. Yes prices have risen but at least I get a reliable system that works 99% of the time. When K was in power the whole system was on the brink of blowing up with constant black outs. Macri has opened the country to foreign investment - so far you haven't seen any direct benefits but give it some time and you will (unless K comes back in and shits all over the country again). Macri has fostered positive international relations compared to K who was sleeping with Maduro and thinks she is part of a socialist revolution which was bringing Argentina into the ground. Macri has done a lot wrong but he is 10X better than the shit the K's served up with her corrupt amigos. Under the K years I saw little to no investment in infrastructure (roads, lights etc) now I am seeing a lot more road works and repairs.

funny, my power was out for several hours yesterday, right across the street from Alto Palermo.
but you are right, my bills are higher now.

Funny, I was a few blocks down (Av S Fe and Agüero) and i saw power out for roughly half an hour (cut at about 6:20 pm, back at 6:50 pm).
Still too long, but nowhere near several hours.

First time this summer as far as I can recall, zero last summer. In prior years had been a regular occurrence.

You get what you pay for.
