If You Have A Swiss Account Then Afip Knows Who You Are!

Actually the Swiss didn't turn over any information. A few former bank employees have sold CDs with customer information in the past and quite a few European countries bought those to identify tax evasion and distributed data from foreigners to their respective countries; which in this case happened when France gave the data to Argentina.

If there is a name on it that occupies a certain position, we'll probably see that a judge (which happens to be a relative/associate to the accused) will dismiss any further actions, as we have seen it in the past ;)

I am suspect of this store because swiss bank accounts do not have names attached to them, the account ownership is linked to a number. Even so, how would they know which "Juan Pérez" is the right one in Argentina that is linked to that account. This sounds like more government propaganda of Cristina and AFIP and another feeble attempt to show the humble masses they are going after the "oligarchs".

They have names attached, the difference to a normal account is that just a few positions within the bank have access to those names. It's a myth that Swiss number accounts are anonymous.

Cristina received today the list from the hands of AFIP. Will go through it with a fine comb ! According to A24 . Companies with foreign ownership will have to do some explaining of the origin of the funds...!
