Hola, howdy all,

I have been living in BA for about 3 months now and am loving every minute of it (bar the usual gripes about red tape) I work at a private school outside of Capital in Quilmes.

I try to spend all of my spare time in Capital taking the aromatic, interesting train in most weekends (you could do your weekly shop on there).

The problem lies in that most of the people i work with are married, attached or going out means a trip to Coto.

I have found it difficult to find like minded friends who like to take life by the scruff of the neck and enjoy it! So what do i mean by like minded.......... well im looking to meet people who want to go out partying on a fri or sat (or both), drinks, clubs, bars, socialising, painting the town red, blue or whatever colour tickles your fancy!!!!!!!!!!!!! You only live once and im not getting any younger!


So if there is anyone out there male or female who wants to experience the nightlife of BA then please get in touch!

I'm new in BA, though I am argentinean to the bone. I know that this sounds like a contradiction, but it's not. I spent 10 years in Europe. I came back a few months ago and I still feel a bit clouded.
I noticed that your post is old. Still I’m contacting you, because of two similarities: first, because you are a teacher and I got accepted as a language teacher (German) and I feel a bit nervous about this new twist in my life (mainly because my only private pupil doesn’t study on his own initiative and I’m afraid that all my students are going to be like him). Will they????
And second, because you wrote that all your colleagues at work at married. I came back to Argentina and all the people I knew got married! (With 28? Are they all nuts?) And apparently, married people don’t go clubbing like in Europe L. My friends in Munich used to call me “the pampa’s foal”, since I was always looking for adventure.
Ah and there’s a third! I know the train you mentioned! I take the same train to visit my cousin –who is also married- !! If never seen a gringo there J (it hasn’t got a negative connotation in Spanish).
I hope that you have any advice for me on a teacher’s daily life…

Sounds like we are about the same age. I just moved down here from the states and am still a little disoriented but would love a partner in crime. I seriously need to have some fun while I am here and I hate to do everything alone all the time :(
 
today i cann't....i have to go to one of those never-ending asados....
