Inflation?

I live in the states & have read several posts about the high inflation this yar in Argentina (30%). When I checked the yearly currency converter chart there was little change with the US $. How can this be so?

I am no expert in inflation and economics but I've heard the value of the peso has been being held down artificially the past few years. Not sure exactly what that means or if it's true. But certainly, the inflation here does feel like a good 30% to me anyway. Hope you find your answer.
