I think AI is fine as an assistant where the human is the expert and can be expected to spot inconsistencies but not so hot if it is to be relied on as the expert itself.

For example, Google AI thinks that I used to play drums with the sixties beat group "The Zombies." Remember "Time of the Season"? "She's not There"? It's very flattering of Google AI to tell me this but it's simply not true. Not only have I never been able to play drums but to the best of my knowledge, no person named Elhombresinnombre has ever performed on any instrument with The Zombies. Needless to say, when I checked that out, I didn't use Google AI to get my answers.

Am I correct in understanding that you only used your BAexpats username when you asked Google AI the question that identified you as a 60's rock drummer, without any additional information?

I entered my real name and Google AI thinks I am a professional wrestler turned actor. I was never a professional wrestler. I tried out for the wrestling team in the eigth grade in the early sixties, but I didn't make the final cut, I was already a drummer and began acting on stage through the rest of the decade. The exact details will never be known to Goole AI.

Ironically, Google AI told me that el.hombre sin nombre is associsted with a professional wrestler from the USA. Based on a very faded memory of a professional wrestler, I also asked;

"Quién era el luchador El hombre sin nombre?"

It would be interesting to know what key words you used Google AI who you are.

I obviously like Google AI, but I certainly don't accept the answers as the absolute truth. I've asked hundreds of questions about health and diet and have not always agreed with the answers especially regarding the high fat, high protein, low carb diet.

Are you sure about this? Most sources on this say otherwise. I believe with the new law, the requirement for citizenship application is now specifically "2 years of permanent residency." Not just "2 years of residency," as it used to be.

We have temp residency from having a baby here, but the path to citizenship is much longer than before, so we've decided not to bother. We were eligible to apply for like 9 months before the law changed, but a series of events and some complacency on our end made us fumble the opportunity. Oh well.

Yes, permanent vs temporary residency has nothing to do with it. There was always a lot of confusion and misinformation that you needed PR for citizenship even before Mileis knew DNU which was never the case. You can read the DNU yourself, just download it and if you don’t speak Spanish translate it. 2 years of legal residency with DNI. Tourist time, precaria time doesn’t count which is the change. That plus 2 years without a single exit from the country that’s also new

Once you are a citizen here you are excepted from draft for ten years.
Today is a lot more difficult and expensive to get citizenship.
One option is CBI citizenship but at Federal Courts.

Also, the whole applying for citizenship using the old law, by suing to claim the new DNU is unconstitutional is a dead end. Someone even posted a recent case where a Russian national went that route in court and the case was thrown out, with the ruling being that the claim holds no merit.

FYI this is the non binding opinion of the first hierarchy prosecutor, opinion that is not held by the prosecutor of the chamber of appeals.
I already developed leading cases about the DNU 366/2025 but it is a fact the Federal Judges are protecting Milei in CABA for now.
