Can we just pay attention to real and important issues in Argentina or everything is a soap opera after another?

It's empirical, but my husband has been watching coverage of the trial as if the rugbiers had been in a high speed chase around Dolores in a Ford Bronco, I don't really get the interest.

Maybe I'm jaded, but these sorts of crimes are not new to me; you're telling me rick kids are sociopaths? quelle surprise...

I of course hope they get the book thrown at them, but since it's Argentina I don't expect they'll serve more than 10 years before they're out, just in time to start to transition to playing polo and sipping mint juleps, not that the same doesn't happen to the rich and powerful in other countries.
