I'm posting this as a service to all the Texans & Blues fans living here in BA.
I saw JW at the Lone Star cafe in NYC many years ago.
A true R&R legend. RIP.

I have a certain respect but little enthusiasm for Johnny Winter, who always seemed very derivative to me. For Texas music, I prefer Joe Ely (with or without the Flatlanders) and Robert Earl Keen. Neither of them is strictly blues, but both are more original and especially good songwriters.
