June 1: D-Day for Imports has come and gone

So, it looks like the Argentine ban on imported food items that have a domestic equivalent is not taking effect. I know they had a lot of international pressure not to put the ban into place.

Has anyone seen anything at local markets to suggest imports were removed?

I put up a blog post about this at http://www.discoverbuenosaires.com/argentina-imported-food-banned if you want to find out a bit more. I went to Carrefour yesterday and everything was still in the import section, just like the previous week.
