reading eBooks on a back-lit device like a iPad or iPhone will fry your eyes. That's why e-ink is so good. Your choice though.
 
Now, Amazon has a TOTALLY FREE Kindle app for Windows to download and buy books onto. THANK GOD! Thank you, thank you Amazon!

I know Kindle is portable, but since I don't like to carry around fancy looking electronic gadgets in public parks and other places where I might enjoy reading a real book ANYWAY, I would most likely be reading e-books at home anyway. So why buy a another stupid 300-400 dollar device that will most likely be obsolete in 5 years?

I prefer to get books here or bring them into the country or buy used ones through betterworldbooks, but sometimes there is a new book you just HAVE to read. I haven't tried the ap yet, but I am about to!!
