LAN Fall Fare specials

Hi all. Just came across this little ad from LAN advertising fall fare specials that look pretty good to the US for around $999 (+tax) to cities like LA, NYC and San Francisco. You have to travel before the end of the year and buy by sometime in Mid-October but for those of you wanting a trip back before the end of the year it's not TOO bad!

of course I have yet to read that 500 pg thread where people learn the tricks of dropping the fuel surcharges, etc. Anybody want to give tips on that I'd love it.
