have to agree just amazing.. speed, accuracy. strategy! He is in the zone big time right now. And the strikes at the goal are coming from further out with more accuracy all the time.

Everyone knows he is the great great grandson of a Scottish farmer and his name prior going to Barcelona was Lennie McMessie.

not strictly true but he's now played competitively for Argentina and like Coates for Uruguay his Scottish dream is over

I'm pretty sure Coates couldn't have played for Scotland and that it was his great great grandfather who was Scottish which would have put him out of the grandfather rules the home nations use.
