Looking for 1 BR Apt starting October 5th for minimum of 2 weeks, up to 6 months

Hey everyone, I'm moving down to BA in about a month so my apt search has started.

I have started doing research on apartments on Craigslist and several other apartment sites. I am looking to live in Palermo, Recoleta (but I think it is slightly overpriced), or San Telmo / Puerto Madero. I would like a place over 700 square feet with a modern feel to it if possible (willing to spend $1,000 - $1700/month depending on place and location)

I am looking to rent the place for 2 weeks initially and if I like it increase that to 3-6 months.

I am also willing to find a roommate that has a similar time table and budget to get a nice 2BR.
