I am a sophomore undergrad student at New York University looking to work with web or graphic design in Buenos Aires this summer. The idea is to get new experience and speak Spanish at the same time, not necessarily in the workplace. Learning new programs, systems, and programming languages comes easily to me, and I would love the opportunity to do so. I am familiar working with Photoshop, WordPress, and Drupal.

My resume and portfolio are available on www.michaelgarate.com

I would highly appreciate any advice for this search. Do you know of any studios that may be a good fit?

I have read that employers prefer resumes with a photo, gender, and age. Is this applicable to my situation?

Is it necessary to have a work visa for this short a period of time? The consulate website seems to say yes, however I've also read that for small jobs it may not be necessary.
