We are looking for a public translator for our wedding but we have not had much success finding one. Has anyone here used a translator that they can recommend or know of where we can find a public translator? They needed to be certified by the city government as a translator.

Try this website, it's a listing of all of the certified public translators registered in Buenos Aires (by neighborhood, convenient!):
http://www.traductores.org.ar/nuevo_org/home/busque_traductor/

In my experience, it's all pretty much the same but do call around and get prices estimates because they can vary wildly (though they're not supposed to, go figure).

I am a translator myself, but not for Spanish, so I can't really suggest any colleagues as I work for different language combinations and I don't know any public translators here.
Take a look at the following website:
http://www.traductores.org.ar/
it is the official website of the Colegio de traductores publicos de Buenos Aires, I am sure you can find information on prices and also a list of certified public translators there.
Best of luck!

I have someone very good I can recommend. I would send you the info via private message but you have that turned off.
