at Rapipago & Pago Facil. Service is supposed to compete with bank ATM's. Via a decree signed last week, the gov't authorized their customers to withdraw cash at their kiosks.

.....Now, these 2 companies should analyze how they implement this service. While Gomez explained that Rapipago could withdraw cash without cost, Babino said that the terminals of its network could charge a fee for extracting cash....

May be a benefit to expats....
If service works with foreign debit/credit cards? If so, fees may be less expensive than those of bank ATM's.
Will amount of individual cash advance exceed maximum allowed amount of AR$2400 by banks.

As of March 1st, RapiPago and Pago Facil have activated their new service of postnet payments by using debit/credit cards thru the LINK network. This will allow the electronic payment of bills such as Cablevision/Fibertel, Metrogas, Edesur, Edenor, AYSA, Telefonica, Telecom, etc. The postnet authorization requires that the customer provide a 4-digit PIN number to complete the transaction.

Unfortunately this service has not been extended to the use of foreign debit/credit cards. I tried paying my cable/internet bill today at both RapiPago and Pago Facil without success.
