Mendoza - rafting

Hi all,,
I'm going to Mendoza next week and was wondering if it's too dry to go rafting now?
If so, does anybody recommend any other activities, besides the vineyard tours?

Mendoza Rafting ( http://www.mendozarafting.com/ ) says this on its web site:

" La temporada de Rafting se inicia en el mes de Diciembre, época de mayor caudal de agua en el río, hasta principios de Abril cuando el caudal empieza a bajar y se hace dificultosa la navegación."

A google search on mendoza or argentina and rafting will bring up the Mendoza Rafting site, Argentina Rafting and other companies in the area and also show blogs from people who have been on the trips. Why not check out the blogs from people who went in previous years, on the dates you want to go?

The river is lower this year..CALL a rafting company and ask them, that's the right thing to do.

good, idea. I can always call when I get there. We'll be there on Dec 1st, and i keep finding conflicting info on if it's a good time. So i wanted to see if someone who is actually there knows if it's a good or bad year for the river.
