Mobile Provider With Internet Possibilities

Hi Last post this AM I promise!!! My friends from overseas would like to get a SIM card for their phone with internet possibilties. As I don't even have a mobile phone( well, I do but NEVER use it and don't even know eher it is!) , I have no idea! They will have to buy credit for it as they will be here only 1 or 2 months. Which is the best(of the bad) providers? THanks so much. Esteban

I have only used Movistar and Claro in the last 12 months. Claro has terrible 4G coverage and 3G often does not work. Movistar has decent 4G coverage and works fine (not great but ok).

We have used Claro, Movistar, and Personal. For us, Personal is the lesser of evils.

Claro sucks for coverage and connectivity...

Have had all 3. Have had personal now for 3 years and am happy with the service

As your friends will choose a "prepago", I think it depends if they are going to travel around the countryside, then movistar is the company with better coverage and 4G.

Phone calls and text messages are expensive with the "prepago"
