Thank you for reading my post and your positive input.
As the name state's we're from Europe and we're looking for our new place in the sun to raise our child and run a boutique Eco Lodge (or only the lifestyle with another business for income).
First, we explored and travelled Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica & Nicaragua. Because we read everywhere that these countries are the place to be.
Well, we found them completely overhyped: Dirty cities, bad infrastructure, a lot of poor people, expensive private schools with surprisingly low level for the price, hospitals far far away.
Some people told us that it's better in Argentina, the South of Brazil, Uruguay and.... If we wanted 'cheap' we need to consider Paraguay.
So, what do you think of moving a part of our assets from Europe and buy some nature and live in a Boutique Ecolodge / ranch in Argentina?
Not hippy style so we want to be close to a good school (homeschooling is no option), a good hospital, a safe environment, normal internet and basic infrastructure,...
Or do we better look elsewhere?
This way we hope to live away from the noise & stress, spread our 'eggs in more baskets', live from our own healthy fruits,...
What do you think are good locations for our project with good value real estate prices and income potential?
We saw some properties in Misiones, San Vincente - Aristobulo del Valle. Anybody that lives there?
Below i put our 'list', love to hear from you what is possible.
We look for an eco lodge / ranch / adventure place
Location?
- for tourism possibilities max 30 minutes from unique selling point. (something unique that draws tourists to that area f.e. the sea, a special lake with, a big amusement park, ...)

Good surrounding to raise children (sportclubs, hobbies, friendly, welcoming people, playing on the streets so SAFE low crime area)
Because we are a young family with a 5 year old child, weneed to start a business or make an investment to make a descent living.
The house that we seek is
A smallholding / ecolodge +250m² house, +50.000m² plot
with privacy and good views. F.e. lake, sea, river, mountains,…
o Large enough for farming / animals / horses. (+5 hectare if possible. It can be smaller if it has an unique location f.e. A-location,… wildlife is a big plus)
o Maximum 30 minutes from a good school and hospital
o Good water sources
Income producing
The investment needs to cover the living costs for 2 adults, 1 child, insurances, maintenance, pension savings,...
We would prefer at least 2 different local income streams. They don’t have to be on the property.
o Tourism f.e. camping, self-catering chalets,...
o Agriculture
o Letting long term commercial / residential
o …
What do you think are the perfect location for our project? Average prices? And how are prices evolving?
Why Argentina and not Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil,... ?
