Good morning, all. Yesterday I went for a multifocal contact lens fitting at a shop recommended by my eye doctor here. After the fitter had gone through all the motions, she told me the price of the contacts (Air Optix multifocals), and it was EXHORBITANT, about $400 for two boxes. I used to wear the same contacts in the US and could get them for much less both at my eye doctor's office and online. I know also that the contacts are available here online for roughly the US price.
Here's the rub. I didn't get a prescription yesterday because I did not purchase the contacts. However, to order the contacts online here (as in the US), I need to provide a detailed Rx (base curve, diameter, and all the optical details).
My question: does anyone know where (in CABA) I can go to PAY for a contact lens fitting and receive an Rx that I can then take somewhere else for purchasing the lenses?
Thanks!
