I am so glad you are here, because you have a unique perspective. I would like to access you wealth of knowledge for something that I have been pondering for a very long time:

How is it that Foxwoods allowed themselves to get so "over leveraged?" Particularly knowing the regional casino landscape was in for big change with Rhode Island and Massachusetts casinos eventually coming on line. This was public knowledge ... It was telegraphed.

And I'll add ... I would be willing to bet if things could be re done ... Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun would have paid Mitt Romney's extortion plan to Massachusetts to miserable effect. And I state it that way because I am not sure any deal made with Romney would have mattered because local Mass tribes such as the Aquinah & Wampanoags were eventually going to become federally recognized. About the most the Romney deal would have accomplished was a delay or an exclusion of the commercials such as in Boston, Springfield and Plainville.

I really would appreciate any insight you care to share.

However, protecting the integrity of Mashantucket and its negotiations is something I am bound to by contract. Unfortunately without an NDA or public relations cause, I can't go into detail. We can talk casually via Whatsapp. I'm sure you are informed enough to know the tribe has withheld a lot of information for various partnership agreements.

Yes, you are correct. Boston. I gave you quite a lot of clues in my post. Unless a person follows the industry and is very well read, one would have to be from the general area to be able to comment on the topic in an intelligent manner. Aside from that, I happen to find casinos an interesting topic. Particularly since AC & Las Vegas are no longer dominant like they were before there was competition. It's a new day with new players. It's a competitive landscape with Native American operations. Truthfully, I am happy Native American Tribes have the opportunity. It's good for the people in most cases, a bit destructive in others. But like everything, there is good and bad.

It's a competitive landscape with Native American operations. Truthfully, I am happy Native American Tribes have the opportunity. It's good for the people in most cases, a bit destructive in others. But like everything, there is good and bad.

I understand... Well, let's just say I am known as the Renagade of the family. The only one that really travels, let alone goes abroad. I am also the one they turn to when it comes to new developments. Outside the box negotiations... etc. Unfortunately, I have leadership that is driven by the past. Ones that want to live out there legacy. Its the divide of families that damages votes. Otherwise, you would see more membership becoming educated and motivated to utilize the blessing put forth. However, IN MY PERSPECTIVE, I believe many family members lack the control let alone motivation to update, globalize, or advance in the industry. My ugly cousins across the river (Mohegans), are smart and more efficient again IN MY PERSPECTIVE. I have pitched proposals that would have made that place do backflips, but the divide of power gets the best of us. The online pitch I submitted is something that is long overdue but is instantly shot down due to the stampede bull run of landbased profits. As Gaming Commission I saw every number that was in and out of the place. Chased Card Counters, Slot Scams, Money Laundering, Lone sharks, etc. but the times are different. The value is different. Mashantucket is the Narragansett word for destroyers. It was said we use to not take crap from anyone, controlled the value of wampum. Leadership is everything.

I kind of guessed you were the one who thought outside of the box.

It must be frustrating to introduce progressive ideas that could improve results, yet they get swept away due to traditional views or worse, lack of courage to go in another direction.
