need tips advertising self for private English lessons

Hi all,

Do any English teachers out there have tips on advertising yourself for private lessons? Are there internet forums BAers read? Does putting ads in the subte actually work? helphelp!

Coffeeshops and copy shops / bookstores close to schools and universities are great to spread your fliers. Try to befriend the owners / managers / employees first, sure

Subte and streets don't work well

olx.com.ar is also cool. If you play properly, it can do miracles for you hand by hand with Google

Ads on Buenos Aires Herald, La Nacion and Clarin are also a good idea for English classes

Competition is tough and pretty much any English speaking expat gave the classes at one point or another
