A versatile band that brings together five cultures on the same stage, with members from Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, England and United States. A project that could only emerge in a multicultural city like Buenos Aires, Mala Macumba cooks up an electrifying fusion of Salsa, Funk, Reggae, Ska, Cumbia Colombiana, Trip-Hop, Tropicalia, Blues and Flamenco, blending electronic and organic acoustic sounds to form a style all their own. 2011 saw the band perform in such major venues as Club Niceto, Tecnopolis and Groove.

Influences include Manu Chao, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Os Mutantes, Cafe Tacuba, The Kinks, Gilberto Gil, Piero, Santana, Spinetta, Vinicious De Moraes, Sidestepper, Héctor Lavoe, Rubén Blades, Bebo y Cigala, Puente Celeste, Ray Barretto, Chico Buarque, Seu Jorge, James Brown
