Just an FYI, as I waited in line from 7-8 a.m. this morning to take a number (as instructed when I went to the office on Garay in Olivos to ask how to renew) with 150 other people, the system has now changed.

You can now book an appointment online here: http://www.gob.gba.gov.ar/portal/index.php

There are even Saturday appointments (exactly how you wanted to spend your weekend, right?).

Hey Paul -- Just so you don't feel bad for having waited in line, the online appointment system has no slots available for Vicente Lopez for all the given dates. As of now, it's useless (how come I am not surprised) ...

And once you have had your turno and only have to wait for your new DNI to arrive in the mail, don't forget to keep the constancia (receipt) they give you. My new DNI was delivered to my house last Thursday but I could not find the constancia (the driver even waited ten minutes while I looked for it). I had to go back to the registro and get a new constancia and then go to the post office to pick up the DNI. Fortunately, I was second in line at both places and the waiting time was less than three minutes (I went to both places well after the early morning rush).

Hmm, when I enter all of our family`s DNIs in this page it says none of us need the new ones -- http://www.nuevodni.gov.ar/inicio/index.php -- so, I wonder if we actually need to get them or not.....

When getting your DNI at Vicente Lopez - do you pay for it inside the actual building or do they send you off to a Banco Provincia (with another queue)?

Vicente Lopez has it's own "bank" inside - for the interest of anyone else going there.
