The international door to door service through Correo Argentino will be simplified as of April 1, since the entire process can be done online and it will not be necessary to go to Customs to pick-up the purchase. The shipment will arrive directly to the address of the individual who acquired the product, informed today the Ministry of Production and Labor.

In addition, the quantity and amount of purchases made abroad by this mechanism will increase. As of April, 12 shipments per year of US $50 each will be able to enter the country. Currently, only one annual shipment of US $ 25 is allowed, for which AFIP will soon publish a general resolution with the operative modifications of the regime.....

Sorry didn't see this thread before I started new one?

IMPORTANTE!
Tienes que tener un CUIT/CUIL con clave fiscal nivel 3, contar con cupo disponible para compras internacionales y haber informado a la AFIP tu última compra en el exterior. Más información en AFIP:

AFIP website has yet to update information as the new resolution does not become effective until APRIL 1st.

If this happens, how will Argentine local products and industry compete? I have gotten used to sub-par products and services...

What is with the 12 x $50 USD... What a random decision... Will create multiple shipments that take longer to process. Better off just having a single cap on purchases per year eg 3 purchases total $500 USD per year per person. This would avoid people buying 12 x $2 USD cables from China that clogs the system.
