Hi Everyone! Second time to post on this website. So finally, I am moving to Buenos Aires and will arrive in the city on June 22. I hardly know anyone and will be studying Spanish at the same time. I would love to meet with like-minded people and perhaps form friendships with anyone here with the same goal in mind. Please let me know if you are interested and I would love to chat anytime.

And I thought that I WAS THE ONLY Filipino in BA. Welcome, have fun. Unfortunately everyone will think that you are "Chino". You will just have to live with that mentality.
 
Wow you're a Filipino?? Ano ginagawa mo diyan? You speak Tagalog? Yes I was there last February and I was called a Chino several times haha
 
I have met a guy from Thailand, who claims that, according to the embassy, there are 48 Thai citizens in Argentina.
My guess is that there are probably at least that many from the Phillipines. Probably more- Filipinos get around.

Love to meet you guys and chat, unfortunately we're back in CA. Don't know when going back to BA, for sure we will - hopefully by next year. Our DNI will expire this coming July, I guess we have to reapply if or when we go back.

Hi there, I'm from a guamanian/mexican family...frequently mistaken for filipino in the US. We have a weekly meetup (coffee chat) posted in the Expat Events forum of this site. That is one avenue you could take to get connected with others that might fit with what you're looking for socially. It's a pretty diverse group in many ways (age, nationality, interests, etc.); and if you don't connect with those attendees, they can usually get you in contact with others with whom you might connect. See you in about a week, maybe!
