Hi, I've just arrived in BA from Philly and I'm here mainly to learn spanish (or "Castellano"). I would love to meet anyone with similar interests and thank you in advance if you can share with me any recommendations etc.

We can hang out and bake some cookies together at the aparment on the weekends.

What a great idea! When you return to Philadelphia, you'll probably be the only person there who speaks Spanish.

Welcome Aaron! I haven't been too excited about the language schools I've seen so far, but UBA (the University of Buenos Aires) has classes starting next week for non-native speakers. My girlfriend attends UBA for architecture and speaks very highly of it, so I suggest looking their first. As for me, I've found that private tutors are a very good option. Mine charges $20 USD for two hours of instruction, and I meet with her three times a week. I'm happy to pass along her name if you'd like.

Good luck, and welcome to BA!
