Can anyone give me suggestions on where to go party for New Year's Eve, please? I heard Punta Del Este is the spot, but it is RIDICULOUSLY expensive for hotels and I'm not sure I want to spend that much. For Xmas I am going to fly to Ushuaia (comments/suggestions on that trip also appreciated) so I could stop somewhere on the way back up to BA. Is Mar del Plata a good party spot for New Year's? I don't want to get stuck in a tourist trap with old peeps not down to party, but I've only been here one week and I don't know the area yet.
