Hi all,

I have been looking for a work or internship opportunity for a month or so now, and thought that maybe some fellow expats could help me out. I am 22 years old, recently graduated with a Bachelors in Political Science and Human Rights in the U.S., and speak fluent Spanish. I am looking to work in the NGO sector, specifically with organizations that work with a human rights focus. I eventually will go to law school (hopefully) to study International Human Rights law, but am not ready for that yet. I have plenty of experience in the area, but I'm finding it difficult to learn about the opportunities out there. They don't seem to have many NGO postings on normal job websites like Clarin and ZonaJobs, etc. Also, idealista.org doesn't seem to have many postings and are always looking for specialized people like psychiatrists, doctors, teachers, etc.

I am specifically looking for something more part-time right now as I have a temporary (non-career related) position until December, when I will need to find a full-time job here in Buenos Aires. The idea is to get something like an internship or volunteer opportunity that would allow me to network, get more experience and that could lead to a job later on.

Just wondering if anyone worked in the NGO sector, has knowledge of it or has any other advice. I would appreciate any inisight! Thank you!

You should try idealistas.org

Un techo para mi pais accepts volunteers as well as do a lot of the animal rescue charities (Sarmiento, being one of them).
