Less than two weeks after Alain Corneau, Claude Chabrol died yesterday and I can't believe Le Monde wasn't even able to come up with a decent obituary. Try The Guardian for a fair piece.

As it happens, I was discussing "La ceremonie" a few days ago with a friend. If nothing else, because Isabelle Huppert and Chabrol were an exquisite match...

Hope I'm not the only one here a bit partial to Chabrol's cinema.
 
Sad, I'll DL a few of his movies to remember his work.
At least he died at a reasonable age while Alain Corneau was still young (damn cancer)
