Hi guys!

I´m from the UK and am eager to study in Argentina. I´ve looked online and have an idea of the documents and papers I need to bring over with me to get the student residency, but I wanted to double check with you guys as you have experience in this area!

Passport (of course!), birth certificate, criminal records and proof of higher education.

Also, I´ve read that I need my birth certificate stamped by the Apostille? Does anyone know what this entails?

Any advice or information would be fantastic! I naturally worry about this sort of stuff and it´s always nice to get in contact with people who have been through the same process.

Thank you all!

Ciao!

For aspotille in UK (aka legalisation) check here: https://www.gov.uk/g...ument-legalised

I didn't need the birth certificate for the student temporary residency and they don't seem to be asking for it here either: http://www.migracion...osur_temporaria

But it probably won't hurt to have it as you might need for other stuff (marriage?)

(edit)

All docs will need to be translate when you get here (by oficial translators). Criminal records tend to have a 3 months "expiration date" according to migraciones, but they told me that if it's over 3 months old they may take it as long as I sign a sworn statement declaring that I didn't return to the country that criminal record is from since the document has been issued. All this is done on the day you hand in the paperwork.
