Margarita Stolbizer, an opposition lawmaker for the FAP, has had an unfortunate run of bad luck. Last week thieves broke into her Recoleta home and made off with jewelry and cash. That was the third time in 4 years that she was a target. In one other instance in 2009 she was the victim of an express kidnapping where she was driven around to different ATMs and forced to withdraw cash.
Then, yesterday her nephew was taken hostage by men posing as police officers and released only after a $20,000AR ransom was paid.

Yes, it could be just bad luck. It also might be that the career path of an opposition lawmaker in this country could have it's own particular drawbacks.
