Hi Nick, it's 6 months;
  • Passport valid for at least six (6) months at the time of entering Argentina, with at least two (2) blank pages

Does anyone know how many months validity you need on a foreign passport if entering Argentina as a tourist? I've seen mention on forums of three months, but some countries require six: there doesn't seem to be any specific information on the official govt page: it just says "pasaporte vigente": https://www.argentina.gob.ar/interior/migraciones/documentacion-para-ingresar-al-pais-como-turista

Any help with official links gratefully received!

thanks, Nick
Not sure if it’s changed since but I spent a few weeks here in February when my passport was due to expire in July so I had around 4 months until expiry. My understanding is that your passport need only be valid for the proposed duration of your stay

Thanks Jtee, yes, that seems to tally with what I am discovering. Waldo, I think the link you sent me refers to visa applications.
