My son was born in Argentina about a year ago. He is now carrying an Argentinian passport.

As far as I am aware, by law, the parents of an Argentinian born have the right to get the Argentinian citizenship.

Would you kindly let me know the easiest and quickest way to get it?

You would need to go through the court and your case will be decided by a judge. The process takes on average 18-24 months. They will run criminal checks on you etc. If your case is uncomplicated then maybe it would take just 18 month after submitting the petition. If money is not an issue maybe talk to a lawyer first, although I don’t think you need one if you speak Spanish well and do your research.

I don't care how strong your language skills are, I would encourage you to seek out the support of qualified council. It could be a difference maker that may save months of frustration. (But that is me.)

A citizenship specialist like bajo_cero on this Board may offer some free advice ?...Many issues involved like the nationality of both parents, etc.
For a non Spanish speaker and unfamiliar with Argentina's practices may take too long..! Visiting the nearest Consulate is a good start..!

Nowadays it is all digital, so, you can apply only with a lawyer with digital signature in the Court system.
How long does it takes? Nobody knows. Court was closed for 3 months and police is not taking the fingerprints.
I’m asking for citizenship without the criminal check but there is not a leading precedent yet.

I've done the fingerprints and the statement of residency. But I am now location in the middle east not in Argentina. Can I apply through the Argentinian embassy here

No. You cannot apply if you are not planning to come back.
What donyou mean for statement of residency?

It is a complex question.
You or the mother, if you are married better, should be here 6 months and 1 day per year.
However, I won at SC a leading precedent that changed the rules but low hierarchy judges are not happy with it and enforcement is taking some work.
How long does it take, I do not know.
Court is working but the improcedure is about asking information to 7 agencies like police, interpol but they are not working. So, I’m asking for a by pass to the reports.
It is also ancomplex reply because we might have a different procedure depending if you are Christian, Muslim or agnostic because Federal Law is alike the 1869 Ottoman nationality law but coexist (or struggle) with Dhimmna.
