I'm looking for English speaking photographers. I will be spending 7 weeks - starting in a few days and would love to meet and shoot with other professional or serious amateur.

I have my camera here and few lenses, but haven't had an opportunity to go out and shoot (due to crime paranoia). If we could get a group together and go around the city, I'd be interested. It's just a hobby for me, but I know what I'm doing.

I guess I am an experiences amateur...or rather an interested amateur with some experience and a nice camera. Will you have me...would love to take more photos while I am here.

I'm an amateur with some knowledge and I want to get into it seriously, as a career, although I still have a lot to learn. I just got a new lens but crime fears have kept me from going out, too. If you'd have me, I'd love to go out with a group. :)
Joss, owner of Fuera Foto, is fantastic. If you decide you'd like a workshop or tour, here's her web site. http://fuerafoto.com/
Looks good - I like her site! Thanks for the info. Where is Fuera Foto? We are staying in Palermo.

Thanks for your answer. I was already robbed in the subway. What's the deal here?? But - I am still using my camera. I brought 2 cameras just in case as I am going to Patagonia and Chili for 2 weeks on a tour and will definitely need one there. Where do you live?

Hola Photodiva

You might want to look at this group on Flickr.

http://www.flickr.com/groups/adriana_de_argentina/

It will give you a good idea of all the photo opportunities in and around the city and you might be able to attend one of their photo safaris that are ideal for the security of your camera. There are more than a few professional photographers but only a few English speakers. But it is amazing how photos and photography bridges the language barrier.
