Has anyone noticed that political ads in Argentina never actually say anything? No one ever mentioned a cause, belief or anything they intend to fight for. The tag lines are always something like "Better with Candidate" "A Better Argentina" "A safer Argentina"

Do any of these politicians ever take a real stand against or for something?

Most campaign ads in the United States don't refer to anything of substance either. Lots of lofty hopes and dreams, but very few plans to actually make anything happen. 30-60 seconds isn't a lot of time, after all.

Compare Reagan versus Fernandez. Both evoke emotion, nationalist sentiments, etc., etc. They're designed to make you feel good. It works.

On the same subject, I'm quite surprised to notice that on Facebook political ads for Ishii (intendente of the Jose C Paz area) show up on my screen.
Fact is I live in the Jose C Paz area but I've never ever mentionned that on Facebook (Facebook just knows I connect from Argentina).
My internet connection traces back to the city of Buenos Aires, not the Jose C Paz area.

I wonder how they manage to determine where I connect from.
