In the next two years which do you think will kill more people
  1. Cov-19 Virus
  2. Quarantine
Of course this depends on how long the quarantine lasts. So base your answer on your best judgement of how long the quarantine lasts.

By Quarantine Related Deaths, I'm referring to any deaths by suicide based on the economic dislocation caused by the quarantine. In addition any death resulting from civil unrest, looting, malnutrition, etc. that you believed would be caused by the economic dislocation caused by the quarantine.

In the CDC study, the strongest association between economic recessions and suicides occurred in people between 25 and 64, which is considered the prime period of employment.
It's unfortunate that a quarantine designed to primarily protect the elderly will result in more people in their prime committing suicide.

Why not just have special hours in the morning for the elderly and quarantine them on all other hours?

The quarantine is perfect for those who want to destroy the world economy and enslave the human race . I do not believe that this virus is natural and the events around us seemed perfectly planned . Everything is at risk now even the american dollar which is the motor of the world economy .

Many more people will die than the virus due to the economic effects that I have no doubt .

When people get hungry and desperate there is no telling what happens.

Maybe this is an example of the absolute chaos we have to look forward to:

Venezuelan military ship shoots at and rams cruise ship and Venezuelan ship sinks in Caribbean:

The laws in place in many countries seemed designed to take away any human rights one might have . The Phillipine president has given orders to kill his citizens if they violate the quarantine . Seems ironic that he is using the quarantine to save human lives and then kills many more of them in the name of it.

Given what we have seen at the banks...need I say anymore. Argentina is going to get totally slammed now. Especially in the poorer provinces that have no means medically to deal with the it. So this quarantine is already far from a quarantine. Give it some time there very well could be bodies in the streets in the provinces as a result of the lethal hand outs. Heart breaking foolishness across the boards in full manifestation.

Sweden remains one of the only EU countries not in lockdown, adopting a far more relaxed strategy to tackle the spread of coronavirus. As others have closed social venues, Sweden’s bars, cafes and restaurants have remained open.

Someone posted this chart in another forum. It shows total deaths in the US from all causes. So far, it appears that the net effect is that about 11,000 less deaths have occurred last week compared to the same week last year. One obvious hypothesis is that the sheltering has reduced deaths from car accidents, etc. Of course as Covid deaths increase, the net effect may reverse. The link to the raw (CSV) data is: https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/weeklyarchives2019-2020/data/NCHSData13.csv
