Hi All,

Just incase anyone didn't see/doesn't know, there is suspended service on many
lines across Buenos Aires City and Provincia due to a strik by the UTA (bus driver's
union).

The strike is due to the murder of a 22 year old Linea 56 driver (may he rest in peace)
on his bus in Villa Celina, La Matanza. He was killed after 2 young men boarded the bus
and tried to rob everyone in it. After all the other passengers were off the bus, a plainclothes
officer of the Federal Police identified himself at the back of the bus and a shoot out ensured,
resulting in the injury, and then death from the robber's bullets. The officer was not able to
pursue the robbers as he attended to the driver's injuries and accompanied him to the hospital,
where he later died from his injuries.

I can only speak for myself, but I definitely do not blame the UTA/drivers for striking. I'd join them
too if I was an operator.

In all of this I hope that justice will be served to the shooters/thieves and the driver's
family/loved ones find peace in a shorter amount of time...
