Recycling glass..how and/or where?

I have tried several ideas given to me about recycling glass...

1. put in bag below the garbage container....doesn't work ...still picked up by the garbage guys at night.

2. Put in bag below the curb...carteneros and/or someone will pick up...
doesn't work still thrown in with the regular trash truck.

Does anyone know how I can recycle glass?? With all the wine consumed in this country someone could do well collecting and recycling...just can't believe it is not being done...

Leave it out after the garbage guys have been. The cartoneros recycle everything. Just do not buy anything off them, it may have come from your own bin.

Well if it's that simple great!!! Will try this out and let you know....I don't live in the city and I don't see cartoneros in our neighborhood very often...but hopefully this will work!
