Hello. I will be in Buenos Aires for a month, arriving Sept 5th. Does anyone know where I can rent a good quality steel-string guitar? Or, are there second-hand stores that I may be able to buy a good guitar, and then sell it back? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Imported musical instruments are usually at least double the price in Argentina. So it would be quite expensive to buy a guitar just for a month.
There is a neighborhood that is full of new and used musical instrument stores, someone there might rent- its Sarimiento, a block from Corrientes, from Callao down towards 9 de julio. there are also rental houses for instruments, as many many kids take music lessons. here is one that specializes in cellos and basses, but you could ask if they know anyone who rents guitars.

Thank you for the suggestion. I found those guys too, and I sent an email. I have yet to hear from them. "Thanks" again for your information on the neighborhood. I will check it out.

you need to just hang out at some clubs with lots of musicians, and you can probably meet someone who will let you use theirs. my recomendations are in my ongoing thread,

I will be back and updating in October, be down for a couple weeks. But Matienzo, Santos 4040, El Emergente, El Quetzal, are a few to start with.

You'll want to check out Talcahuano Street between Sarmineto & Rivadavia. There are two or three music stores on every block.
All the major guitar brands are there, acoustic and electric. Talcahuano is walking distance from the obelisko.
