Repair Kindle?

I have unfortunately cracked the screen my kindle 3G, I have asked around in the galleys on Florida street with no luck so I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get it fixed, if this is possible at all here?

I don't think it is possible to repair these here, contact amazon and see if you can persuade them to repair it for free.

I have a friend who managed to get theirs repaired after the screen broke randomly one day. Apparently its pretty common.
