resale value of electronics and consumer durables

I'm trying to figure whether it's worth it to purchase a television for about 6 months of use. The cost of a new set I know is high, but are resale prices high as well? I have no experience selling anything in Buenos Aires and don't know how well overpriced consumer goods hold their value.

One other question: where's the best place to buy a fridge and an oven/stove. Nothing fancy, just the standard stuff. Thanks. Frank

As far as the resale value. I would suggest looking on Mercadolibre

The prices there aren't exact but they should give you an idea of what used goods go for.

Resale value is about half of purchase price.
